Climate Action Group

On 20th April 2022, Needham Market Town Council made the following declaration:

Needham Market Town Council declare a Climate Emergency for our town and pledge to develop a plan which sets out actions for the Council to take and guidance for local residents and businesses in order that, as a community, we can contribute to achieving the national goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2050. 

Subsequently, a sub-committee (Climate Action Group) has been convened and held it's first meeting on 13.09.2022. The group consists of town councillors and members of the public with an interest in leading projects to help our town work towards this goal.

Biodiversity Statement:

Needham Market Town Council pledges to protect and encourage nature within Needham Market. It aims to increase the use of more environmentally friendly land management practices and support local residents, businesses and organisations in activities which enhance and promote biodiversity.
